And an Unexpected Task was indeed... I was really really lucky and I managed to get assigned to a THIRD!!! chapter for the hp art project, since 11 people dropped out at the last moment, so here is my humble attempt for GOF, chapter 22: The unexpected Task...



To be honest, this chapter troubled me  so so much, I made 4 other sketches before ending up with this one, I really couldn't made up my mind as to what I should draw... Lots lots lots of work..

So, this is where Ron finally discovers girls, and realizes that Hermione is one of them as well!!! What a surprise!

To be honest I have spend the best part of the last 4 days coloring and correcting this sketch..

All started 2 days ago.. A police car patroling in central Athens, passing through Mesologgiou cobbled street (considered an alternative place with music, bars etc and lots of youth in the streets), was confronted by a few young people, shouting to the policemen to get lost. There are a few reports that an empty bottle or a brick was thrown to the police car. The cops went out of the car provoking the youth and one of them shot against a 15-16 year old boy, right on the heart, murdering him in cold blood. The name of the boy was Alexandros Grigoropoulos.

And finally after many sleepless hours (no complaints there!!!) I finished it in 3 days time!! My second submission

Yesterday I finally got assigned to my second assignment for the awesome Hp_Art_Project, Book 7, chapter 6 "The Ghoul in pyzamas" ,which was one of my top choices, and I couldn't feel any happier... So I grabbed my pencils and my imagination and started to draw..

So here is currently my (WIP)Work In Progress first draft:

This chapter had many many many emotional and wonderful scenes to draw, but the big R/Hr shipper inside of me chose to draw the following scene: "Hermione's eyes were swimming in tears again. Ron got back off the bed, put his arms around her once more, and frowned at Harry as though reproaching him from Lack Of Tact"

I drew it with a pencil and colored it digitally using Gimp 2.6 version...

The deadline is 12/31/2008, so I have 1,5 month to finish the piece... And when I say finish it, I mean mainly deciding if I want it to stay in the greyscale version, or if I wanted colored, if I am gonna put the words on the fanart or not, the extra texture I am gonna use, if I want it as a landscape or a portrait version etc, etc, etc Currently I have only colored Ron's eyes and Hermione's tears, and I really like it that way, but I kind of feel that Ron's eyes are slightly out of focus... And I should definately correct his eyebrows somehow...

Of course COMMENTS and SUGGESTIONS are more than welcome, a third person's perspective always helps, and the more adjective the critisism the better!!!

And yes, finally I am going to leave my signature -and what a signature, an artistic one - in the Harry Potter fandom... I got assigned a chapter for the Hp_art_project, and I couldn't  feel any happier... I mean, seriously guys, Jo is gonna see my work!!!

My assignment is Book 5, chapter 14, Percy and Padfoot, which is a very good chapter for colouring since it has many many wonderful canon scenes to draw...

The only problem right now is deciding WHICH scene I should draw... It's a headache really, because I really love many of the scenes included...

The hard Ron and Hermione shipper inside me is shouting to draw the scene with the homework and the wonderful person declaration, but I feel that I am deglecting some other important scenes, and seriously, have I mentioned that Jo is gonna receive the book and and see the art-works? So I have to make everything justice...


The deadline is 30/10, so I have to do a Flash-Gordon kind of artwork...

Do you know what the worst thing is?? Trying to exist and survive inside your group of friends, whilst your ex is a regular member, and the worst part, his new girlfriend is trying to find her place in that group as well.. Now tell me.. How can you possibly do that without losing your mind, your dignity, your self-control and most of all your friends..


Not that I am afraid of the last part... I know that I won't lose my friends no matter what, we have gone through many many many things together, but my ex is also a very very good friend of theirs (mine as well-sort of, you know friendship and love don't cooperate together so well).. So it's like choosing between myself and him really, and I don't want to make them decide that...


So, what now?? Trying to act cool, trying to pretend that I don't care, I don't have a problem, that I am a modern woman with modern views about relationships and life??? The hell with that! Of course I have a problem!!! Unless you don't call a problem constantly wanting to kill that new girlfriend with your bare hands, throw her out of his lap, replace her and snog that irresistable ex senseless.. Well, I call that I major problem..

I hate everything about her, her face, her cold smile, her possessive hands and attitude, her clothes, her name... Her name most of all, because it's the constant reminder of her existance...


I don't know how longer I will hold like that.. How longer I will pretend... I am like a volcano, slowly boiling inside before it erupts... Hope I won't create a new Pompeii..

I don't think that the worst thing that could ever happen to someone (like the death of a beloved person) could really turn out be beneficial...

 You are awful at sex... Saying that after 6 years of relationship really hurts...
